Fun time on Big Bear mountain

Flying Chester & Yonghee
We've started jumping since last season but it's still not easy. The problem is "not to be scared". How to do that? Just practice & practice. But it's still funny doing this with same leveled buddy.


Yonghee
He's my snowboarding partner since last year. He's majoring Chemistry in SDSU and a looking good guy with cute cheeks. Hey girl looking at here! Why don't you try your luck to have date with him! He's still a single. If you know me, I'll just help you. ^^

We've went up to the mountain again after one week. This time, Irene and Xin joined us. I've had no idea about Irene's snowboarding before. That's good chance to have fun with more people!!

Papageno ;
He is actual main actor of Die Zauberfloete. A bird-human sells bird. (That's kinda paradox but funny!)









Papageno & Pamina ;
Princess Pamina is found by Papageno, first. Not by Prince Tamino. Anyway, she will fall in love with Tamino.









The queen of night ;
She doesn't show up lots of times in this opera, but the most famous aria is sung by her. It's known as The aria of the queen of night. Since it's very high tone, not so many soprano can sing this song. Only few dramatic soprano can perform it.






Papageno & Papagena;
They are the cutest couple of this drama. Personaly, I like the duet when they see each other as the first time. "Pa pa pa pa-ge-no", "Pa pa pa pa-ge-na"~

Daily life

My best friend Seungchul who's living in Japan sent me a picture of him and me. Since I got couple of pictures of scene he's taken before, It seems to be good if frames come for them. With couple of these pictures, my apt changed into quite different mood. Thanks Seung Chul!

This is Seung Chul's young brother Seung Jin. He lives in San Diego and works for Samsung SDI. We can see lots of Samsung men in San Diego.











San Diego Design Center is the most impressive building around my work. It's beautiful big pyramid and one of symbols of San Diego.

Pacific Beach on sunny sunday

The next day was clear after rainy. I didn't want to let Yumin miss this shiny day of San Diego and went out to beach again. This time, we were on Pacific Beach (aka, PB) instead of Mission Beach. Pacific Beach is known for nice bars and youths but the beach itself is nice too. We've wondered by the beach and streets around there.

A night at downtown San Diego

I like San Diego's downtown. Here makes me feel like a city life which is rarely in San Diego. Furthermore, downtown is pretty when the lights on at the Gas Lamp Quater.

So, I often enjoyed just walking downtown streets. Sometimes, luckily, couple of friends agreed to come here to drink some beer on one of famous bars.
Since we have trolley from my place to downtown, I don't even worry about transportation when I want to be drunken. ^^





The Rock Bottom is one of famous microbrewary in San Diego. It means that you can find their own made beer at here. I love its special taste. It's always recommended to try Sampler if you were first time at here and you can taste all eight kinds of their own beers. My favorite one is the Earthquake. Don't worry. A cup of beer won't shake you. ^^




It's also fun to play billiard at bar. I'm not a good player when I was drunken. (Every friend told me the alcohol is not an excuse) This time, I played a little better than before.










San Diego's downtown is small but cute and funny place to be. I wanna dance, next time. ;)

Mission Beach on a rainy saturday

Yumin came and visited here on this weekend. He has been within my first year in San Diego and moved to LA. One of few friends were made in the beginning of my life in the United States.
I feel a little bit bad about the weather but we went out to the beach since here's San Diego. ^^
One good thing of rainy is easy to park anywhere. The beach side is usually busy every weekend but rainy day might make most of people to stay at home.

Anza Borrego Dessert, Salton Sea and Palm Springs

Anza-Borrego Dessert; east side of San Diego
After my hanging around San Diego within whole tuesday, I couldn't stand it any more and decided to go out. Two of my friends were chased by this plan successfully and we began a short but long day trip.
Our tour started from Anza-Borrego Dessert. The spanish term Anza-Borrego means goat since there have been goats living on this dessert mountains. Guess what we did on this dessert? We cooked (Shin) Ramen at there. Wierd?! No, you can't immagine how it's delicious!

There is the biggest lake of California right next to the Dessert. The scene of this giant lake is beautiful and fascinating but you couldn't imagine this; smelly everywhere. It seems like there's nowhere outgoing water from the lake but lots of incoming to it. Don't stay at one place to much. It must become smelly, later.





Salton City; one of cities by the Salton Sea
There're couple of small towns along with the Salton Sea. Salton City is one of them. Not like the name, it was just a small town.
We were suprise when we came to a grocery store over there. The owner of the store is Korean. I felt Korean living will is strong, again. ^^

This beautiful clouds were caught accidently. The nature is wonderful even when you're in dessert.










Palm Springs
Our final destination was Palm Springs; A spring on dessert.
We've had giant burgers as dinner with beer (buds; they don't have microbrewary) and walked a little. Downtown streets were beautiful and crowded since it's holiday season.

Temecula
As usual, we've stopped by Temucula by nature's calling and I found a cute restaurant over there. This must be stopping point, next time. ^^
